Project development


What is the Deadline? How much time do you have left?


      What i have is 2 weeks ,14 days i have to split the entire work into 3 part which will be like ,Design,Hands on machines and assembling and debugging i need to move fast with a buffer time so that to keep my things ready ,everytime there are expected ,unexpected errors


What tasks have been completed, what tasks remain?


       I have designed most of the structures that need to cut with shopbot which include the coop itself,acryllic container box and hay box(egg collector) just started with shopbot,eventhough i have done press fits many times due to varying and unconsistant plywood available right now need to test cut and proceed,any how all set now,millled the coop,design change in mounting container box made with acryllic, Untill now everything is control but little nervous about electronic part. the hope is that i have done servo in output week and interfaced the same with bluetooth and already made the application in MIT app inventor in Interface week, but still to go, have to correct in design,controller board,acryllic box and hay box,assemble altogether,water dispenser and egg counter(IR) part also vinyling


How will you complete the remaining tasks in time?


      I stopped running after everything and made a prioritized check list for each day and for each day i wil go with Parllel processing in action,now i have to handle multiple thing simultaneously also scribled the thoughts and improvization. The design i did was in grasshopper to make my coop cute for that i have invested much time.So inorder to over the lag,I did'nt waited for my timetable one after another started doing all major job i consider which is shopbot work ,milling of boards and collecting materials,now the main part remain is that debugging of boards

What has worked?

       As far as now ,my idea of protyping is going fine while on the go i have gone through adapatation in design and processes based on which suits best,almost done with design.

  • Designed skelton of coop,haybox,acryllic box -> DONE
  • Coop skelton(shopbot) -> DONE
  • 3d print Design -> Done
  • Servo interface checked -> DONE
  • Laser cut -> DONE


What hasn't worked?

  1. The IR module i designed and made is not working properly so either redesign/debug(i have done much) or i have to use the IR module as the last backup option.

What questions still need to be resolved?

      
  • Why my IR design is not working(cross checked the same) ?
  • Better interfacing medium than bluetooth needed ?

What have you learned?


       I learned many things that cant be measured or evaluated but always helped so called experience.The best part i learned is

Since my project involves almost all the machine in my lab and which need decent timeframe so now i am ready to take up challanges and manage my time i have efficiently i was a bit worried that will i able to finish these things off ,This couple of days gave me the confidence that i was capable of doing one complete project in 2 weeks.
