W17 - APPLICATIONS AND IMPLICATIONS

Mission & initial concepts

What will it do?

 

It will detect intruders in front of houses outside the capital. Traditional detectors just turn on lights, This will follow the intruder

 

who's done what beforehand?

 

There are may reserachers in the internet trying to improve security and disuative ways for security

 

What materials and components will be required?

 

    MDF board to mill the box.

    Fabduino

    Ultrasound sensor

     Led and Piezo

     Conextion cables

     Acrilic for boxes

 

 

Where they will come from?

All comes from Fab Lab stock

I just both additional piezos

 

How much it will cost?

The total cost  will be less than$50.

 

 What parts and systems will be made?

The box,  the circuits, the sensors, the leds and piezos

 

What processes will be used?

 

    Computer aided design to design the structure

    Electronics production & electronics design for the boards

    Computer-controlled machining to create the structure

    Embedded programming for the code of the sensors

    Input devices (to measure from ultrasonic sensor)

    Output devices (led, servo motor and piezos)

 

What tasks need to be completed?

I need to work on weight of the structure and the distance in order to have a better approach. Also include a temperature sensor

 

What questions need to be answered?

Which one could be the best algorithms to improve the following movement. Now seems to be robotic

 

 

What is the schedule?

 

- Test the prototype

- Complete the assignments having in mind the topics to improve

- document with video a photographs

- Update the web page

- review all again
