INVENTION, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND INCOME

WEEK 18

- Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project

- Prepare a summary slide (presentation.png, 1280x1024) and video clip (presentation.mp4, 1080p HTML5, < ~minute, < ~10 MB) in your root directory

I would like to improve my final project and to have an excellent product to market it. From these sales I could raise money and continue to make more projects using Fab Lab machines.

I would be interested in having a license that allows others to download the plans of S-mirror, that can assemble the object, test it and give me their comments for improvement.

Once i have the final product i would think about exhibiting it in a national or international design fair (along with more objects that I can achieve) and thus make known my brand.

I would like to sell the product online and in some physical store also, I have to find out what options there may be, find a company that handles both options.

According to what I am thinking, I believe that the license that most accommodates to what I wish to do is BY-NC-SA of creative commons. In their web page there is a questionnaire that in response to your marked interests gives you the license number you need.

There are different types of licenses, basically separated by commercial or non-commercial use, changes or not changes allowed and all combinations between these options. That is how there is also a license opposite to what I desire. It is the CC BY-SA that allows modifications and commercial or non-commercial use as long as the credits are reconfirmed and an equal license is used.
