Design

This is my first 3D design of the project. I measured the size of a capsule and gave 1cm more space on each container.
I'm going to put capsules to the top hole hole and block it on the bottom with each door.

What will it do?

The machine will contain 8 different coffee capsules in seperate containers.
When user press a button of each container, the door on the botton opens and drops a capsule. At the same time, the LCD shows what type of coffee it is, how many capsules are left, and suitable amount of water.

Who's done what beforehand?

There are lot of different coffee capsule containers already, however, there is no container which shows the information of what kind of capsule it is.
Lot of people don't know about each different information of the coffee.

What materials and components will be required?

  • 3T 1200mm*2400 Knot Plywood (Sturdy)
  • 1.5T 230mm*350mm Acrylic
  • 8 micro servo motors
  • 1 LCD
  • 8 bottons
  • I'm planning to make 8 container each (which needs 1 botton-input and 1 micro servo-output), and combine them with bus networking and an LCD.

    Where will they come from?

All the materials are already set.
Plywoods and Acrylic were in nearby store. The plywood were imported from East Asia.
The rest of the electronic parts were in the fab lab.

    How much will it cost?

    1.5T 230mm*350mm Acrylic X 1 = 1,800won ($1.5)
    3T Plywood X 1 16,000won ($13)
    Micro servo motor X 8 = 28,000won ($24)

what parts and systems will be made?

    1. Container
I'm planning to use laser cutter for the container and the door.

    2. Input and output
    Input device - buttons
Output device - Doors with servo motors
    Output device - LCD

    3. Network
I have to integrate datas from buttons and connect them to one integrated output device, LCD

What tasks need to be completed?

I have to sort out how to combine 8 containers with networking system, and how integrate the sources to LCD
