The assignment

 

This week, was about finishing my final project.

 

what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?

The lamp, the control and the electronic system was completed. I still have to work on the modular system so that they can work all together with the same control. I also need to design the part of the lamp which hangs to the ceiling.

what has worked? what hasn't?

The product works well . However I have to think about the possibility of fixing the control to a wall and connecting to electricity because the battery is not long lasting.

what questions need to be resolved?

• How to connect the system to each module in a way in which you do not have to open each lamp up.
• How to connect to a Wifi network
• Will users get used to gesture control?

 

what will happen when?

During this month, I will make more modules and work on the modular system.

I will develop a workshop model to teach people to build in groups and will build a network of open lamps.

 

what have you learned?

• I learned to make a functional system with inputs and outputs.
• I really like the integral approach of the fab academy
• I understand better how to run a Fab Lab
• I understand the Fab Lab concept and appreciate it
• How to use machines, build them
• About electronics, programing and IoT
• I learned how to run a Fab Academy and would love to run it next year in my lab
• I involved my team so my team in Fab Lab Impact also learned from this great experience
• Met very interesting friends and colleges
• Learned so much from the global network
• got to know more about Neil
