About me
Oscar Velázquez
Thank you for visiting, here you would find more about my Fab Academy project and know a little bit about me.
I am a development economist passionate on social good, environmental resilience, development issues, design and technology.
Since 2009 my work has been focused on the research and development of tools, methods and programs on the topics of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology and sustainable development.
I currently work as an investor and coach of technology startups that want to challenge big problems in the world.
Through the Fab Academy I expect to learn more about building things and technology using digital fabrication and electronics. I also would like to meet amazing people from all over the world.
I am the founder of smartimpact.org a hardware accelerator based in Mexico city and fablabimpact.org a prototyping Lab for products.
FabLab Impact is an open innovation center located at downtown Mexico city. Its mission is to setup an environment where top innovators collaborate and have access to a global network of talent, knowledge, tools and resources to create meaningful innovations for the world.
