Project Concept

When I was asked what I wanted to develop the project during the fab academy I was undecided whether to choose something useful, try to come up with something innovative or set me up for a project that would allow me to make the most of all the phases of the program.
In the end, fought by the decision to make, I decided to do something fun :)

I left thinking about what I'd like to use, not professionally, but when I have free time, and the answer is immediately came to mind: I want to make a play.
I thought of developing some board game, maybe that would integrate some electronic device to receive and give input and a computer that would manage the data in real time and respond according to the player's choices.
I started writing on a sheet of paper all the possible implentanzioni that you could do in a game.
After filling the sheet son stopped me and I started the other way slowly eliminating all the functions nn were totally necessary.
At the end on my sheet of paper it has remained just the table and the screen

Once that the idea began to take shape in my mind as I started to look for similar projects on the internet.

I found several similar projects, some rudimentary, some design and, generally, were either to toe the systems that emulated the old arcade joystick and buttons, or simply a screen that allowed to play or RPG Boardgame.

The options that lay predecessors were two: build a gaming table with integrated joystick and keyboard, or a table for boardgame with the ability to connect the joypad if I wanted to play with video games.

Thinking about it, the only difference was due to the presence of joystick and pushbutton so why not make them removable?
and if the joystick were removable, why do not you think about the different modules with different input device?
In the end I decided to create a table that contains a screen, a computer and 6/8 workstations with changeble modules that allow to mount specially designed modules for the game that you want to play.
