This week we have to propose a final project that integrates the range of units covered.
My final project will be an interactive table with a 32 "monitor and a computer with the ability to add modules that implement the interaction with the installed programs.
what will it do ?
The table will be a tool that will allow you to work or play.
The presence of a touch screen and external modules dedicated to specific interactions will make it as versatile as possible.
who's done what beforehand ?
There are many types of interactive tables and lately interactive tables, or more generically interactive surfaces of any type, are becoming more and more common in everyday life.
The market features different types of interactive table, all aimed at a specific end use
what materials and components will be required ?
The materials needed to complete the project are:
- Wood for the structure, probably osb
- 32" LCD Monitor
- Raspberry pi 3 To manage the software
- Esp8266 as acess point
- 2 joysticks and 12 buttons for the arcade joystick module
where will they come from ?
The material will come a bit from all over the world.
Exept the wood all the material will come from internet.
how much will it cost ?
If I bought everything new my project would cost about 300 €. However, I have to drastically lower the final cost using only recycled material and hope for a good used monitor
what parts and systems will be made ?
The components I create will be::
- The wood parts of the table will be drawn on freecad and then milled
- The electronic access point card will be drawn and created from scratch
- /The electronic board for the arcade joystick will be drawn and created from scratch
what processes will be used ?
To realize the project the following processes will be used:
- computer aided design
- Computer cutting
- electronic design
- electronic production
- interface and application programming
what tasks need to be completed ?
To complete the job I will have to:
- Draw and realize the access point
- Draw and realize the arcade joystick
- Draw and build the table top that will hold the monitor
what questions need to be answered ?
How many modules can be implemented ?
what is the schedule ?
First of all I have to finish the table top, then go first to the access point and then to the arcade stick.
I should be able to complete everything in about two weeks
how will it be evaluated ?
