About Me

I am a corn and soybean farmer in Nebraska. I started a science academy in Los Angeles, California called the Mitchell Academy of Science and Technology (MAST) at Milken Community High School. My students do science research at local universities and enter National and International science competitions. I am also a mentor on our FIRST Robotics team: The Milken Knights team 1836 in the (FRC) division. (FIRST Roboticss Challenge) I am also the STEAM Director at the KEYS Academy in Singapore. My current idea for a final project to incorporate many of skills that I hope to learn by June of 2016 is to develop a dreidel spinning robot that has the promise of breaking the Guinness world record. A new World Record was set this Chanukah, when over 1,000 people came together to spin the dreidel in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv. December 2015 (simultaneous spinning for at least 10 seconds) Hopefully we will have a Fab Lab at our school for the 2016-2017 school year.
