AUTOMATED EGG INCUBATOR
The idea, an automated egg incubator that will allow a farmer, or any noob for that matter to hatch chickens,... or ostriches if you so like...
The casing will be wood, and rudimentary electronics will be used to control temperature and humidity. A control panel with a screen will provide needed information on the current conditions in the incubator.

Update...
After some deliberations with my supervisor, I searched for an alternete project and came up with this... An ad-clock.
The idea is to make an LED based clock with a small screen in the center that can be used for ads or general informnation.The screen will be made using an LED matrix similar to this one;.

Mechanical Design
I documented the CAD design of the clock in Week 02 assignment.
I then test cut the clock face which will be made from plywood on the laser cutter.
The result wasn't half bad, see below: but of concern was that the LED holes were too small so I will have to go back to the drawing board and adjust that.

I have documented the design of the LED Matrix in Week 13 assignment.
For the clock face LEDs I decide to use charlieplexing to drive individual LEDs.This in my opinion is easier and more exact as I will use interrupts to switch on the LED's.
