3D Printing and Scanning
printing / SCANNING
I didn't really find something usefull to scan so I decided to scan myself. I used the "Skanect" software wich is really easy to use. It is using a kinect to do 3D scanning and it works quiet good.
Then it saves the scan as a "mesh" wich should be fixed because it's never good the first time. For this Rhino5 had some good mesh repair tools.
The stuff is now waiting to be printed.
I choose the lowest definition for it to be printed fastly, but finally I think those fat lines of the printer catch the light very nicely. When I look close it seems to be not very precise, but the global look is very stunning.
