3D printing and scanning

PRINTING / Scanning

I first made a 3D model for what I wanted to print. The idea was to made 3D printed joint to know how to do for my final project. So first I designed something quiet complex because I didn't knew how a 3D printer works.

First thing I printed was the easiest parts, that I had to divide in two parts to print it properly.

The problem with that parts was that I draw a center square of 9 mm and the printer did it more like 7.5 mm so the wood could'nt fit in it. Also it take almost 1 hours to print that little part so I changed my topic because my first design will be too long to be print. I decided to just made one part and try it to work fine.

That part is drawed with a tube larger than the wood at the begin and smaller at the end so the wood is well fixed without screws, just by pushing it strongly in the 3D printed part.

I probably made the tube a little bit too large at the begin and too small at the end but anyways it seems really strong and the wood is well fixed.
