For this assignment I created a small circuit for the RGB LED to be connected to the touchpad board via a cable.This board can be placed on the back of the laptop for examble to indicate if you're busy or available.

For controlling the RGB LED I created the following sketch to make the LED turns red when then the touchpad is activated and turned off when the touchpad isn't activated:

And here it is in action:

Then I modified the sketch so that you can cycle between the three colors to indeicated whether you're available (Green), can be disturbed (Yellow) or busy (Red):
