My name is Mohamed Abuelhagag

I am a medical school graduate who lives in Cairo

I've been a member of Fab Lab Egypt team for a year now and now I am the head of IT department there.

I went on a trip to the United States as a part of the International Visitors Leadership Program conducted by the Department of State; the trip theme was about Makers. This was as a part of a group of Egyptians who are interested in making and education.

Why I applied to Fab Academy

I have a goal to create open source medical devices as I believe this will help a lot of problems facing health care nowadays.

I believe that making is the way to go to realize this goal for a non-engineer like myself and I also believe that I will add a new perspective to the way medical devices are built.
