Applications and Implications

HoMe

In Progress

what will it do?

The box à round the printer keeps the heat generated by the nozzle and the heating buildplate.
Most of the time it is enough to avoid wrapping when you are printing ABS.
A temperature sensor linked to a heating system are embedded in the box.
They will help to preheat the box, hoppefully stabilise the temperature and to do some tests with other plastics.

who's done what beforehand?

If we consider that the heat generated is, most of the time, enough to avoid wrapping; all the boxes with the good enclosure could be efficient.

Nice system
Ready to use
Silent
The labest one
A beautifull one at e-motion tech (ReprapFrance Toulouse), and many more.
The electronic parts of my project can be adapted to any box.

what materials and components will be required?

where will they come from ?

http://www.mcmaster.com

If you are not in the us look for local suppliers, or watch after taxes rules of your country.

how much will it cost?

what parts and systems will be made?

It should normaly be possible to build 100% of the project.

what processes will be used?

what tasks need to be completed?

The biggest part will be to make a model 100% built in a Fablab.
This is also why i thought it was an opportunity to share infos that could
help someone who can't have access to a machine big enough to cut hits board
1-Think the parts
2-Draw the 2D and 3D elements
3-Cut boards Wood/Styrofoam/PMMA
4-Glue Styrofoam
5-3D Print parts
6-Assemble
Box ready
7-Draw the electronic boards
8-Mill the boards
9-Solder components
10-Test and program boards
Electronic ready
11-Instal Electronic in the box
Stove ready

what questions need to be answered?

what is the schedule?

ASAP. Organisation has been a missing point during my fabacademy. But i do a task after an other as soon as possible.

how will it be evaluated?

The elements for the documentation are a good lead to follow,
i can use them to work on the next step faster. And if an element is missing,
i then know what i must do next.
I wish this simple model could be a proof of concept,
and an evolutive study tool. The 100% made is a fun Target.
