Computer Aided Design

This weeks lessons was learning the Computer Controlled Designing which included both 2D and 3D.However, the challenge was the softwares to be downloaded and learnt within the short period. This week's assignment is to make a 2D and 3D model of a potential final project and here I am using Solidworks to make the 3D model. The idea is to re-create the drawing I made on paper by using Solidworks. The following is the drawing I made for first week's assignment.

  • I Started by using fusion360 from autodest cause i wanted to understand more about it, i designed a laptop stand
  • Fusion360 looks cool but since it was my fist time using it, it wasn't so friendly though some features are like in solidworks, its cool since it can work on different operating systems

  • After using Fusion 360 i also tried solidworks to design just a spare part
  • Solidworks is a computer aided design software that runs on microsoft, its more rich and easy to use on my part than fusion 360, but i wish it could be working with other operating systes too
