Applications and implications

Assignment:

   propose a final project that integrates the range of units covered:
      what will it do?
      who's done what beforehand?
      what materials and components will be required?
      where will they come from?
      how much will it cost?
      what parts and systems will be made?
      what processes will be used?
      what tasks need to be completed?
      what questions need to be answered?
      what is the schedule?
      how will it be evaluated?
   projects can be separate or joint, but need to show individual mastery of all of the skills
   where possible, you should make rather than buy the parts of your project
  

1. what will it do?

The prophecy machine will draw an inkblot image as your real-time prediction
- input : temperature sensor
- output : inkblot image

2. who's done what beforehand?

Output inspiration from Robbie Mcintosh Inkblot test machine

Structure and feeling inspired from Genetic Heirloom, Revital Cohen

3. what materials and components will be required?

Input :
temperature sensor
satsha kit
resin for input embody

Output :
wood for structure, mechanic part to open and close it
vinyl tubing
1 micro pump for open/close tube
2 servo motors for tube movement
1 motor to open/close the box

4. where will they come from?

electronics components will be ordered online. wood will be ordered locally

5. how much will it cost?

Roughly guess is around 250 euro.

6-8. what parts and systems will be made?, what processes will be used?, what tasks need to be completed?

9. what questions need to be answered?

The main doubt is on the result inkblot image. The only way to solve this is to test ASAP with robot arm.

10. what is the schedule?

Rather than fancy Fancy Gant chart I prefer using old classy gdoc :)

11. how will it be evaluated?

get things done in time = ***
more than one parts work correctly = ****
beautifully confusing inkblot images = *****
user gets its point, the project = ***SUPER***
