Vectors_ Illustrator

For the vector assignment I used Illustrator, the difference between vectors and pixels it is that the vector it doesn´t lose quality when you scale it, and it has anchor points that let you move and modify the shape anytime you want while pixels don´t.

I did a sketch of the profile of my architecture final project.

The first thing that I did was to open a new file:

- File _ New_ I gave the size that I wanted to the project 2200x 800 pixels.

I used the pen tool to draw a simple profile of the building.

Illustrator works similar as Photoshop, both programs have layers and group of layers but there are some differences between how they work.

Illustrator calls layers to the groups and you can edit the elements separately or modify the whole group in things such as transparency.

A good thing is that vectors are lines that can always change, such as thickness or discontinuity.

Then I saved the file as Illustrator CS5 File.
