Introduction

This week I am required to complete my final project and track my progress. My project is a concept design of an automatic car parking lot. The original concept is very complex therefore i have to simplify my design as much as possible to meet the deadline

What is the deadline? How much time do I have left?

Presentations begin 14th to 18th jun, That leaves me with approximately one week to make and document my project before the presentations close the pressure is on!

What tasks have been completed What tasks remain?

So far i have made The mechanical structure of the project. I have designed the circuits to be used. all that is remaining is programming and testing and documentation of the project.

How will I complete the remaining tasks in time?

In ordr to complete the remaining tasks in time i will need to:

The mechanics

The first order of business was to redesign the stages. I took the designs designed for uline cardboard. I had to redesign for them to fit 6.5mm cardboard and eliminate the folding lines. I began with the outer box. I did this on inkscape i began with the side pieces

I then proceeded to modify the inner box. This took alot of trial and error before getting it to fit right

The electronics

I designed the board in eagle as shown below both the schematics and the board. The board is designed to be used alongside the satshakit board that will carry the program whereas the board would regulate power and carry the motors

Assembly and testing

At this point it was all about ensuring that all the parts work together as desired. I had to change the code several times to match the desired function. I also documented my work taking videos, editing them and updating the website
