Group project

Group goals:

  1. Design a four axis CNC milling machine
  2. Implement our machine in cardboard
  3. Assembling and try the prototype
  4. Design and implement a base for the touch screen and Raspberry pi

My contribution to the group

For this group assignment, I designed and implemented the hardware for our GUI over raspberry pi.






Also I implemented the communication rs485 with the gestalt Fabnet from the page http://mtm.cba.mit.edu/fabinabox/dev/fabnet/files.html





Selft evaluation

  1. What worked:
    • I designed and implemented, a base for our touch screen and I builded the RS485 Interface for gestalt

  2. What did not work:
    • I had many problems to design the base, because i needed very exact measurements.

  3. Things to improve:
    • I would like to have implement the base over the CNC machine, like a photocopier.
