We started doing first tests with the CNC shield for Arduino, which allows to control up to 4 stepper motors. The shield is 100% compatible with GRBL, which has to be uploaded to Arduino IDE. Besides the shield we will be using a DRV8825 Stepper Motor Controller IC to control our axes. An specific Arduino library can be found here but are already included in GRBL.
Albeit a little cranky we got our X/Y axis working finally and got our machine to draw! Yay. But can she kill? Coming soon...
