1. Requirement:

For this assignment I have to propose a final project that integrates the range of units covered, answering the questions mentioned before.

2. what will it do?

My Delta robot will be used for pick and place and can be pick a different types of materials with only change the vacuum cup, with the possibility to be easily replicated.

3. who's done what beforehand?

A delta robot is widely used in industry, their principal aplication is pick and place, but nowadays is very frequently find this machines for 3D print. You can visit the links below

There are a lot of researches about Delta machines, but is difficult find a good information easy to understand, fortunately I found a very good paper at ResearchGate The Delta Parallel Robot

4. what materials and components will be required?

To build my Delta robot I needed the following materials

  • 3 Stepper motor

5. where will they come from?

Fablab Tecsup cover the majority of materials, but I needed to buy some components, and the best site to buy cheap is from china y share the links.

6. how much will it cost?

Buy from china is very affordable, as I spends about $30 Dollars

7. what parts and systems will be made?

  • 1. Base (laser Cut)

The main use of the project is for laboratory, but also can be used as prototype in processes of palletizing, pick and place, soldering PCB and testing.
