About me

About me

I am a researcher and PhD candidate at University of Oulu, Finland. I have been collaborating with Fab Lab Oulu, since it was opened in October 2015. I have been trying to create synergies between our Fab Lab and the local school community. For instance, I was involved in FabLab4School initiative.

Career & Research

I got my M.Sc(Eng) in Telecommunications by Technical University of Madrid in 2013, although I have been doing research at University of Oulu since 2006 in a research unit today named Center for Ubiquitous Computing.

In my research I intend to provide teachers with the necessary tools to create new active learning environments in which technology is embedded into everyday life objects. With such tools teachers generate application in which children interact with the environment itself and not necessarily through a computer device (tablet, phone, computer...) Although I have an engineering background, my current research focus is on ubiquitous computing, user experience and learning technologies.
