This weeks tasks:
1. Deside what to do on group assignment
2. Make mechanical parts out of cardboard
3. Assemble stages
4. Build your machine
5. Test mechanical movements
First we desided to do something that moves, I went through multible ideas what would the moving "robot" look like and how it would work. We had only four stages to use so with that limitation in mind selection was to go with an quite easy desing.
After cutting the cardboard it was time to fold the rest of the staged. It was nice and relaxing job.
After cutting and folding, rest of the parts go in.
Now it was time to but the staged into one big mystery machine that would do something like in this case, walk.
There are couple of ways this robot can move. We tested the movement of the legs and it was ok. Here is two different ways for the robot to move forward. At the moment only back and forward movement is available.
Testing the movements manually showed that the movements are doable with the automation.
Files from [modular machines that make: cardboard stages]
files from here.
For our cutting Eino edited the files for better cutting. They can be found on Eino's page but I copied here on my page as well. Editing work was done by Eino.
