2D Design

First I try some softwares, for example Inkscape. Inkscape is a free software where you can create 2D and 3D objects with raster and vector properties.

In the next image you can see a raster object (left) and vector object (right). You can download the original file here.

After I try with Solidworks to start with 3d modeling my prototype, I made a sketch of it in SolidWorks software because it offers tools to facilitate the design of mechanical parts. In the picture you can see the front, side and bottom plane of the robot.

3D Design

To assembling the robot using solidworks you must create all the components of the prototype, for this, I first search on the web the files that already are designed. I recommend visiting grabcad.com, on this website you can download free designs.

I designed in SolidWorks the other parts of the robot.
