ELECTRONIC PRODUCTION
WEEK 4 -FAB ACADEMY 2016
— LEARNING OUTCOMES —
— MILLING —
All of our students decided to do this model, FabTinyISP . I have no experience at all doing circuits, or anything related so I was very very clumsy. Our fablab have the Roland SRM-20, double check with machine you will work with.
Once you are good, downloads the files and export them into the machine software, remember to set the x,y,z origins and you should be good to go. You MUST tape the copper layer otherwise it will be a mess!
— SOLDERING —
With ZERO experience in this area I had no clue how "stuff" all parts. Nevertheless thanks to Pedro and Fernando the whole experience went well. For soldering, you have to be very careful and it felt just like cooking, you have to make a "mise en place". Put all the elements under a paper sheet, tape them and double check you have EVERYTHING before starting.
Cover the board edges with paper before started to prevent any scratch and follow this guide to see which element to weld first. Take note that a few elements such as the LED lights, the 3V3 zener diodes and ATTiny45 have an specific order!
SOLDERING GUIDE
If you followed the guide your ISP should like this:
— PROGRAMMING —
In order to program our In System Programmer, we need another ISP. In my case I used an Arduino to make to possible.
