My name is Vilhjalmur Magnusson, most people call me Villi. I live in a small town called Hornafjordur that is in the south side of Iceland, surrounded by mountains and glaciers. For profession I learned fine art and advertising graphics. I have worked freelance as a graphic designer and also in an advertisement agency. I have run my own company making fly-fishing rods and other fly-fishing equipment. I owned another company selling cabinets and 3D drawings of apartments to building contractors in Romania.

In 2009 I moved to Hornafjordur and started to teach art and computers in the towns’ elementary school. In 2012 I got a job to be a manager of the art and craft house called Voruhusid (The Warehouse). The Warehouse is 1250 m2 and full of facilities, like photographic studio, music studio, metal workshop, fashion design teaching facilities and so on. In 2013 we started to prepare for getting a Fab Lab in the Warehouse which we eventually opened formally in September 2015. Now I am both a manager for the art and craft house and our new lab.
