Principles and Practices. Project Management
Documentation
Each participant of FabAcademy have to design a WebPage in order to document all the learning getting throughout the course. For this, we take into account the code and the web design.
About Code, we have different tools, I am going to use HTML 5. I do not have webpage programmer background, it is my first time. There is a good webpage of HTML5 toutorial w3schools where reference is well detailed. I am going to do my code each week using Sublime as editor. There exists options that make the code based on a GUI where you did the interface and it returns code.
Design webpage, I used CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. On the link shown, it is possible to find a chapter referred to this. An example of CSS is Bootstrap, I used it. About image, I have to options to optimize, one for .png (Tinypng) and another for .jpg (imageresize.org).
Start Bootstrap
I was looking for website examples in order to have an idea to design mine. When I realized I was wasting time I decided to choose a template of Start Bootstrap (Business Casual) because those are responsive, have MIT license and a flat design.
Sublime Text & Bootstrap
I used Sublime Text to edit my webpage code. I needed help to understand some codes, for this reason I explored in Bootstrap page. Also, when I could not find a code in Bootstrap page I google it, very simple. One tool that helped me a lot was View Page Source from Google chrome. In this way, when I find something that I like in other webpages using this tool I can add to my webpage.
Final Project Proposal
Huancayo is a place where one of the main commercial activities is agriculture. Most of people around Huancayo downtown are farmers. People cultivate land to have foods to eat. Also to have money for anothers needs when they market.
There is a well-known and higher-production tuber, the potato. Huancayo and Concepcion, another farmer place, have 800 varieties of potato of the 3000 existing in Peru. A great pride for the inhabitants of the area.
In the whole process to obtain this food "Peruvian potato", recognized worldwide, the last stage where the earth is removed to obtain it is necessary to have enough staff whose work is hard and arduous. In addition, the inclemencies of the climate make it harder sometimes.
This is where born the idea of my final project, the ML8-PE "Wanka tool". A machine which can help farmers giving them facilities to improve their quality lifestyle. This will work with mechanical energy from the pedaling of a person sitting on the machine.
