In my case, I used leftover copper board that was already placed on the machine. But since the tape lost its stickiness, it couldn't hold the board down properly. (I tried to cut, but it didn't work)
So I had to take it out, and then apply new double-sided tape to have it very flat.
Also I had to consider if the design was horizontal or vertical to use the remaining area efficiently. I changed it whenever the milling didn't work properly.
