1. Individual assignment:
3D DESIGN:
I used Fusion 360 for parametric design. However first I draw my plants furniture in my notebook. Finally, I decided change furniture and I built a forniture with three steps where you can put the plants.
I had diferents problems with relationships because I needed more practice with Fusion 360. I decided to design each part separately. first I designed the flower pot, it took me a long time and I couldn't build it in 3D.
For the design of the pieces I create each in a sketch making line by line each part, the main tools used to relate these pieces were: collinear lines, parallel lines and equall, but also help me the angles especially to be able to give the return to the pots.
FILES:
- Side piece
- stl Side piece
- Front part
- STL Front part
- Floor piece
- STL Floor piece
On the other hand I designed the structure of furniture, where I had to play with pocket toolpath to create an interesting piece of furniture. Also I used differents lace so the wood didn't come out.
FILES:
- Top piece
- STL Top piece
- Bot piece
- STL Bot piece
- Side piece

- front piece

CNC: I cut my furniture and built it, and I just repeated three pieces.
First my local tutor gave us the protection elements like: glasses, helmets and gloves. Also I did two test to know the tolerance of joints. I decided that the tolerance would be 0.30 mm.
To be able to cut in the CNC we need to put a 20 mm wood that was attached to the machine by a vacuum pump.
I started by calibrating the axes of machine and fit the 6 mm milling cutter with two flutes and up cut. this is the tools that I used.
We used Vcarve for export the correct files to cut. In Vcarve it is where you select the internal parts that wanted to cut the external parts and the recess, also defined the milling cutter that was to use and added the entries of the cutter for the corners of the internal cuts, because one of the limits of the CNC is The use of round drills that can't make square corners.
And finally I built it. I only had to repeat three pieces, changing the parametrical design I fixed it. The result was amazing.
