Hi There! I'm Tanvir N .I am a graduate of NIT,Calicut batch of 2015.I have majored in Mechanical Engineering.
There I have learned about Machine design,Thermal and Fluid Mechanics,Engineering Mechanics.I also had the opportunity to work on various CAD modelling software.It was from here that I came to know about additive manufacturing and digital fabrication.At NIT,Calicut I had the opportunity to work on CNC Machines,FDM 3D Printers (Dimension Elite).The expereience gained from here has moulded my design language along the lines of contemporary manufacturing methods.
Upon graduating , I have worked in an international corporation as a part of their Design team dealing with New Product Introductions.Here I had the opportunity to work on Gas Turbine parts and accesories.I used to coordinate between global design and manufacturing teams, and design and bring about changes in improving existing turbine parameters for the next generation machines.The revised CAD models designed were prototyped before finalising the design.I came to know about the importance of rapid prototyping ,here.The first hand experience in seeing how major corporations were shifting their design thought process and testing procedures,made me realise that digital fabrication was field that I had to venture into.I have also had a small stint at an Oil and Gas corporation as a Piping Design Engineer.
However, I am a novice at Computer programming and Website design. I seek to attain those skills during FabAcademy.
