1.What will it do?
In the
final project, I plan to produce a toast robot. I gave the name "Fab Toast", a robot that can toast. I thought that I would like a toasting even if we are away each other. As my avatar, it is a robot that will make a toast according to my movement. If there is a robot of my avatar , we will be able to enjoy communication more even we are away. This is a my issue.
2.Who's done what beforehand?
The page you referred to is below.
-Robot Drinky: World?fs First Drinking Robot With Cheers:

I reproduce how to drink with servo motor arm. Based on this robot idea, combine with a sensor to make a more interactive system.

6.What parts and systems will be made?
7.What processes will be used?
8.What tasks need to be answered?
9.What quetions nedd to be answered?
In order to realize the desired movement, it is necessary to prepare the following servo control programs.
-Servo control programs.
1) Operation program of servo motor to pour drink into glass
2) A program to take drinks into the mouth and take a drink action
3) Program that opens mouth and drinks drinks
When the three programs are completed, it is necessary to summarize them so that they are linked.
-Quetions
How to make servo movements efficiently?
-Mechanism for circulating drinks
1) Design of a mechanism to return drinks received by mouth to the bottle
2) Design and production of necessary parts
After completing the mechanism, it is necessary to test whether the drink circulates or not.
-Quetions
What is the optimum shape of the parts that circulate the drink?
-Sensor that catches drinks placed
Capacitance sensors and programs that can sense that drinks have entered the glass
-Interface that enables remote operation
Development of interfaces and applications enabling remote control from PC
-Quetions
How to perform remote control?
10.What is schedule?
May 30 to June 4 Assemble the main body.
June 5 - June 11 Develop servomotor program.
June 12 - June 14 Concatenate the parts and finish it.
11.How will it be evalated?
FinalProject evaluates that it has been completed if the following conditions are satisfied.
- Operation starts when placing a cup (electrostatic capacity sensor).
- Take liquor from the bottle to the glass.
- Lift the cup and bring it to your mouth.
- Do not spill a glass of alcohol in your mouth.
- The red LED lights up when you finish drinking.
- The cup returns in the first position.
This week's assignment is over.
