Fab academy 2017
The deadline is about 2 and a half weeks.
I have made the LED and Capactive sensor work separately through using Arduino, but still have not combine the input and the output device together on one board.
For digital fabrication, I have designed the outlook of the lamp by Rhino but I still have not printed it by the laser cutting
Here is the plan:
1. Electronics (Capactive sensor and IR LED) - Complete in one week
2. Programming (Decide how the capacitive sensor triggers the LED) -Complete in 2 days
3. 3D printing (Holder for electronics) - 1 week for digital fabrication
4. Laser cutting (Structure for the lamp outlook) - 1 week for digital fabrication
The board which contains both the LED and capacitive sensor works, but the light will turn red from white suddenly. I will have to find out the reason and it is most probably because of the power.
How to store all the electronic components underneath the lamp base and how the capacitive sensor should be incorporate with the base.
I learnt so much more about electronics and digital fabrication since I have no basic background about these areas before.
