Assignment

  • Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project

Target

The idea of my final project is ideal for schools in any place in the world, because of his simplicity and cheapness.

Nowadays I think that Divina Commedia by Dante Alighieri is the most beautiful book in history, but I remember that when I was young, at school, I was bored to study it. For this reason, I think that my final project will make studying more interesting, because a student (while reading) can feel and see the story and the characters, and interaction stimolates his curiosity.

So, I wouldn't have a business with this project: I would be happy if an eccentric teacher followed my path, in any country far from Italy, and built my project to explain italian culture to his students.

License

Sincerly, it's no so clear the utility of a license for me: beacuse of my naivety, I think that:

  • If I don't want to trade with my work, everybody can read and use and replay my work without problems

  • If I want to sell my work, I don't show you processes or software or materials, I will show you final result and you will decide to buy it or not.

However, I have to complete this assignment, so I studied the license that seems to be the most suitable: Creative Commons.

Before choosing, I read the page "About the licenses" and found this simply but clear summary:

Why will I use the BY-NC-SA one? For these reasons:

  • BY : credit. I'm happy if you use my work...but thank me at least!

  • NC : non-commercial use. My project has not commercial purposes, it is thought to spread learning. So, if someone wants to use my work, he will use it for free.

  • SA : share alike. I'm happy to share my work with other makers, I dream someone that improves my work with other characters, other output, other software, other poems.. the contribution of everyone is a precious resource and should not be limited. For this reason, it's better if everybody respects my philosophy and shares his work with everybody without limitations on changes.

Choosing the license is very simple: go to this page, answer the questions, complete the form with your data, and finally copy the url and paste it on your webpage.

You can see the final result at the bottom of this page!
