I think my design can be used as an open source toy for everyone. Since I was very fond I like robots very much since I was a little boy, I saw almost all of the robot related animation and movies. So I want to share my design with all the people who like robots.
There is two options for me:
1. Commercialization: I could upgrade the design to make it lighter and more practical, and I'll design more replaceable parts to replace the magnetic launcher. For example, a water gun, dart launcher or a Wolverine claw like I designed in 14th week.
Through different combinations, you can get different ways to play, It would look more like a commodity. People could get an arm like iron man with only about $100.
2. At the same time, I could design a simpler and easier version of DIY.
Now this version has too many parts , the other people will difficult to complete the assembly without instruction. So if I design a simpler version I could share the date to everyone, then they will be very easy to complete their own mechanical arm in the Fablab or other places.
