After some brain storming we decided to identify our strenghts and skills and properly distribute the work between us:

 

We also understand that we would have two phases, the first one oriented to logistings and the second one oriented to integration.

 

We all will be part of the integration and testing, but for the first phase we distributed as follows

 

• Jorge Valerio is an expert in electronics, he will be in charge of it.
• Jorge Rivera is a Systems Engineer, he will start researching the stepper motor funtioning and also will help with the web design
• Jorge Huang and Juan Carlos Mujica will be in charge of  making the extrusor and adquisitions of extra components.
• Carlos will be in charge of Machine Design
• Eduardo will be in charge of general layout design.

After we defined that the machine will be a decorating Cake Machine, we started drawing some draft models of the future machine.

 

Some topics we have in mind were related:

 

 - X, Y and Z axis

- Extruder, type, speed and material

- Dimensions, of the cake, of the platform

- Weight, we will use stepper motors

- Mechanical design, we will need to define which mecanisms we will use.

- We like the idea of XY Core
