The work remaining is small and it just needs to settle and find technic to make sure, I finish on time
I highlighted tasks completed and ones to complete to be able to make my intelligent robotic tracker, :
1. Designing the robot body (Completed)
2. Designing motors controller board(Completed)
3. Programming both Raspberry pi3 and my board (Completed)
4. Assembling all the parts of the robot (completed)
6. Testing face tracking robot (Completed)
7. Fixing Errors (Not yet finished)
The remaining task is to fix errors that I have seen in the robot body joints (It shakes when motors are rotating), and it is not a big problem because it needs to make sure bottom is heavy than the top.
My Face tracking robot can now track a human face and show the angles where he/she is moving to.
So far, nothing I have planned that will not work, but the camera is too slow to recognize a face. I found the Raspberry Pi3 processor is too small to run HD Camera I am using.
The question still need to be resolve, is whether my face tracking robot can be as effective as possible to be able to serve community.
I have hard about Making almost anything when I joined FabLab, and I did mind about the meaning because I didn't what tools can help someone to make almost anything. I came to know I that it is possible to make almost anything, when I was able to design my project and printing with 3D Printers. I later knew that it is even possible to make almost anything when we worked together in our group assignment and made a CNC Machine in only 24Hours after three weeks researching about it. This has nurtured in me a strong spirit that anybody can have impact while contributing to making almost anything.
Documentation during development is not easy, when I was working on my project the whole mind was about fixing, innovating but thinking about taking some notes and photos while developing project is another course. Finally, I came to be familiar with it and it was easy to document at the same time developing project.
Time management is a great part of project success, especially when you are running out of time. This is what happened to me when I was supposed to document and push my work and the same time had to develop final project. At that time I had to do what was highly demanded and I paused what was not necessary that time.
This is a good way to complete the project, I put my project into three spiral development phases. Firstly, I did the design of the whole robot, the body, circuit design and production (Motors controller). The second phase of my spiral development, was assembling and testing mechanical design of every part of it. to make sure my robot can be responsive to what processor will command. The Third was testing and making it more accurate.
