TUYIHIMBAZE Serge was born 02nd January,1994. He completed high school in 2013 where he was a recipient of more than ten awards including the outstanding student in discipline and innovation.
Since 2012, Serge contributed to the development of a system to help keep time and effective communication in schools and when he was 19 years old, he founded and opened patriotism and self-reliance clubs in Seven District in Rwanda.
In 2014, he joined the Department of Information Technology at the Adventist University of Central Africa in Kigali, in 2015 he became an active member of kLab core team – a leading innovation hub in Kigali. then, he found an animation and graphic design company which was later awarded “Recognition of excellence in promoting innovative ICT Solutions with social impact, 2015 Entrepreneurship Award” by the International Telecommunication Union – ITU.
When FabLab Rwanda was launched in 2016, Serge became Community and innovation manager where he works with his fellow innovators to turn their ideas into marketable products. He is currently working on a Face tracking Robot to help solve different problems in the community.
Serge is enrolled in the “how to make almost anything” MIT class of Professor Neil Gershenfeld to become the Fab Master.
