My name is Nataliya Shevchuk and I'm a PhD student working in the
Oulu Advanced Research on Service and Information Systems (OASIS),
Faculty of Information Technologies and Electrical Engineering (ITEE),
University of Oulu.
Main research themes in the OASIS research group are:
User behaviors and humanized information technologies (Oinas-Kukkonen & Oinas-Kukkonen (2013))
Persuasive Systems Design: studying software features and strategies which influence user behaviors
Persuasive Systems Design (PSD)
1. Presents persuasion postulates related to users and technology
2. Presents a way for analyzing the persuasion context
3. Defines four categories of persuasive software features (Oinas-Kukkonen & Harjumaa (2009))
Behavior Change Support Systems: studying user experiences and outcomes of technological interventions which support users to achieve their goals in the areas of health, sustainability, green IS/IT and other important domains (Oinas-Kukkonen (2013))
A behavior change support system (BCSS) is an information system designed to form, alter or reinforce attitudes, behaviors or an act of complying without using deception, coercion or inducements.
Main focus of my research is applying Persuasive Systems Design features in Sustainable Information Systems/Green Information Systems and Information Technologies (Shevchuk & Oinas-Kukkonen (2016)).
