I'm excited about becoming part of Fab Lab network and I hope to enjoy all that Fab Academy experience can offer: lots of hands on skills, inspiring projects and a bunch of friends worldwhile! As a researcher, I'm passionate about learning and exploring new ideias in the field of engineering design and design management. And more recently, as a professor, I've been worried about the way that engineering in beeing teached. I see in Fab Academy an opportunity to fill the gap in my engineering education (much more theoretical than practical), and also to experince and learn about the methodology behind this course, in order to provide to my students a better learing experience.

I'm from Insper Fab Lab, an university lab at São Paulo. We are part of the first group of students in taking the Fab Academy in a Brazilian lab.
For the final project I did a Giraffe Lamp thinking in a way to teach freshmen how to use Fab Lab in the course I teach at Insper.
