Project

what is the deadline? How much time do I have left?

We are meant to present on the 16th, so we still have one week for push our project as much as we can. This means parallel work on the project process, the information gathering for the video and thinking on a layout for the slide.

what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?

Completed

-Make the program of the components with arduino leonardo
-PCV electroniscs with:Thermistor, heater, driver for the motor
- 3D disign and 3D printig

To be completed

- Frame laset cut
- Make the program with thermistor as a imput to control the hearter
- Finish the programing for the PCB
- Sistem integration: the laser cut will integrate the power suplywith the motor and de PCB
-to integrate a raspberry pi

how will I complete the remaining tasks in time?

I will try to meet all the targets, working on spiral, and documenting the process. I may need to simplify the idea and give up the rassberry pi and PID for temperature control. I hope to receive help from my colleagues in the programming, it is very motivating to work in the BCN fab lab environment.
To complete all the tasks in time I made a gant diagram.

what has worked?

It can be said that the prototype presented as final project worked correctly. It is a functional prototype but would have more value with another iteration.

what hasn't?

-The extruder system is a bit triky to finetunet. there are space to improbe the pushing filament sistem
-The interface that develops in python (Interface and Application Programming) is not necessary to operate and in practice did not use it

what questions still need to be resolved?

After presenting the project I have continued using the manual extruder and I have detected some things to improve for the following version: -make the handle more argonomic.
- Use smaler power suply.
-I think the electronics could be better integrated in the acrilic frame with some more solid connectors.
Implement a more reliable extrusion system.

what have you learned?

Standar skills:

- Create your own integrated design
- Demonstrate 2D and 3D modelling capabilities applied to your own designs.
- Select and apply appropriate additive and subtractive techniques.
- Demonstrate competence in design, fabrication and programming of your own fabbed microcontroller PCB, including an input and output device.

Other skills:

- Team work:The experience of fabacademy in Barcelona was intense and you spend a lot of time working with the same people, it is very important to learn from all over the world.
- Motivation: I have also learned to preside in an objective that a priori seems unattainable.
