assignment model (raster, vector, 2D, 3D, render, animate, simulate, ...) a possible final project, and post it on your class page
- SolidWorks asembly
- SolidWorks
- Rhinoceros exercice
- 2D Sofware
I already knew SolidWorks, I used the assembly tool to show the mechanism of both normal delta and delta tensigrity.
The assembly is made with very simple pieces. To make an assembly you must build the pieces separately, in my case for the components I have used extrusion and revolution operations on sketch with the dimensions that interested me.
To make the mechanism we will have a new assembly file and import the parts that compose it. The geometric relations must be defined allowing degrees of freedom if mobility is desired

The frame of my printer is going to be an octahedron and I have designed a lace assembly mechanism. This can be useful for next week's delivery.
A positive thing about SW is that it is very easy to redefine the dimensions of the pieces to fit your interests

I also knew rhinoceros, I used it to model pieces that serve as joints to assemble the 3d printer frame. This tool is also powerful enough to make 2d verctors
I used boolean difference to make joints by means of plastic flanges

During this week I do not get to complete 2d software but in the following use Inkscape for vinyl assessment.
