Computer-aided design
To complete this assignment I decided to compare different software in order to find the differences between them and the best application for each one.
2D Software
For 2D drawing I had compare four programs with similar features. In the first case I used Gimp vs Photoshop and in the second one I tried with Inskscape and Adobe Ilustrator.
Then I have compared gimp with Photoshop too.
3D Software
I have compare blender and rhino
Conclutions
Inkscape is a really powerful tool; I am more familiarized with Adobe Illustrator. At the beginning Inkscape is quite strange because Is really similar than Ilustrator but is not as similar as it look. An inkscape has some cool tools that I haven’t seen in Illustartor like G-code generator.
Definitely I could not get used to Gimp. I don’t know why but I just had not patient with it. In my carrer they teach us photoshop that would be a reason, I’m just too get used to work with Photoshop.
When I tried Blender I realized that was more similar about Maya Autodesk or Cinema 4D than Rihinoceros. Again, I am really comfortable with rhinoceros because I’m already used to it. But blender is just incredible and all the benefits that brings you. I have to say Blender is better than a lot of paid programs.

FabLab Yachay is the first complete digital fabrication laboratory in Ecuador that is part of Yachay “the city of knowledge” how is motivated on creation and innovation to the country.
FabLab ZOI
An independent Fab Lab that is partner of FabLab Yachay who find the opportunity to join efforts being part of Fab Academy 2016 in Yachay. ZOI is an innovation center in Quito city that is focusd on product design applying sustainable concepts
