License & Patent
This week, every student should think about license and patent and dream about the future possibilities. Neil showed us few example project went well in bussiness field.
At the beginning of Fabacademy, I was wroking on my own startup project with co workers (even though I stopped doing that now because of several reasons). At that moment I've heard a lot that I should register a patent, such as copyright, as soon as possible. Even before I make anything(I heard that getting a patent is possible even I only have an idea). I reckon it's because of business problem. However, I believe that open source is the future of everything. If a project is good enough and have nice businees plan, it has a lot of opportunities for fundraising and launching a business. It's not a matter of open source or not. Anyways people pay for something else than just for a product.
Fab academy is also all about the learning and sharing the knowledge between people as a form of open source. So I think my final project should go open source also. I think open source is more suitable for my project. One of the well-known open source license is creative commons. There are various range of 'openess'. I choose 'Creative Commons' - non commercial. The reason why I chose NC only (not a SA), I believe that the more people engaged in one project, the more possibilities to be better. Share Alike license is suitable when the original project is perfect-like. But I think my project needs more changes and modifications.

Creative Commons
If you want to give people the right to share, use, and even build upon a work you’ve created, you should consider publishing it under a Creative Commons license. CC gives you flexibility (for example, you can choose to allow only non-commercial uses) and protects the people who use your work, so they don’t have to worry about copyright infringement, as long as they abide by the conditions you have specified.
