Week 10 Assignment: Machine Design
1.- Automate your machine
For this week assignment I made some concept test with a protoboard based on the sequence of the stepper motor shown in the image.
I made the sequence with leds to identify if it was working
The sequence move with 2 buttons in the Arduino, one for forward and one backward, the code is shown in the next images:
The next step was design in Eagle software the stage, I used an H bridge IC L293D with the configuration shown in the image:
When I had one circuit in eagle, I just had to copy three times for the three stepper motors and machined it in the modela.
I needed to do other board for control the electric arc and the motor in the vibratory mechanism, also some buttons for the user could contro the machine
The electric feeding of the electric arc its completely independent of the other electronics, for the activation of the DC motor and the electric arc I used relays.
This two board are controlled by an Arduino Mega.
The last step was write the code for the machine engrave the letters "FAB", first i had to made MY G code in excel, considering that 2 steps of the motor are one cell in excel
In this process I had to consider turn on and off the electric arc and the vibrator motor while moving to another letter or other position without engraving.
