Hi, my name is Luiz Henrique Heins Bueno and most people call me Luiz. I was born in Brazil and I moved 3 years ago to Kamp-Lintfort in Germany, where I live, work and study. I'm an entrepreneur, designer, fab-labber and megalomaniac. I work since 2 years in the Fab-Lab Kamp-Lintfort since its beginning, watching and helping that amazing lab to grow, and I study Communication and Information Design at HSRW.

I was always a maker, that was how I had my fun as a young kid, dreaming about a place such as a fab-lab. Back in Brazil I founded a modern bespoke carpentry, simplifying processes and shortening production time. After that I went to furniture design and got myself a laser cutting machine. Some years later I heard about 3D printing and that was the perfect combination to a laser cutter.
Already in Germany, once I told Prof. Dr. Becker about my background as a designer/maker he said: “Luiz, you’re the guy we were looking for. Welcome to fab-lab Kamp-Lintfort.”
