Week 15&16

This week assignment is to Design a machine that includes mechanism+actuation+automation and build mechanical part and part operate it. For this week we have to work as a team .We all the 7 members work for the same project.It is great fun and exciting for me. We decided to build a machine that will automatically pick the components and take the component box back to the place after the user take the components..Actually this machine week is devided into mechanical design and machine design.As it is a group project I don't have anything much to do.All my bros are expert in designing,programming etc.I contributed my part only in electronics.I helped Salman in fixing and soldering components.Jacob and Jogin take care of designing.Salman and Suhail take care of electronics and programming.Justin and Hari take care of machining.

The design is done in fusion 360 and the machines used are shop boat,laser cuttr,modella PCB milling,soldering station,3D printer etc.

PCB DESIGN

First all members come togther and we discussed about the hardware and it's feature , finally come with ESP8266 SOC(System On a Chip) , and it's not a good idea to use the barebone SOC so we picked the NodeMCU board it's a ESP8266-12E development kit

we can also flash Arduino bootloader in order to compatable with Arduino IDE and progarmmes.

Started to dedsign in eagle , before that we tested each componets independely to enusre that will work as we expected . first i designed a motor driver based on the A4953 .

It's not worked as we expectd(some times it's stucked ) , so we choosed L293D, it's worked great so.So after that we tested the stepper motor and other parts , then i staretd design main board .

Next is the machine design.First design the PCB of main board .We choosed NodeMCU as the main part of our project because it is embedded with wifi so it can control machine.Before starting the design all the members dicussed about hardware and select NodeMCU which support arduino core,so we can programme it using arduino IDE. and we choose polulu stepper motor.After testing the stepper motor and other parts salman started to design the main board. I contributed in soldering the board.
