WEEK 8

EMBEDED PROGRAMMING

THE ASSIGNMENT

This week’s assignment was to read the microcontroller data sheet, in this case the ATtiny44A and program our board from WEEK 6, to do something, with as many different programming languages and programming environments as possible.

MICROCONTROLLER DATA SHEET

I started looking at the index and underdstang what I could expect to find in this datasheet.

BITS AND BYTES

We had a lecture from Bas about bits and bytes, binary, decimal and hexadecimal systems. It took a long time but it all started to make more sense. MORE ABOUT BITS AND BYTES

CODING

I managed to find more info about using Arduino with ATtiny on this website: HIGH LOW TECH

To find help I looked at other Fab Academy students websites:

LINDA'S PAGE
CHARLIE'S PAGE

Unfortunately I am not able to find my files from this week. To see that I have done programing please go to NETWORKING WEEK and have a look at my FINAL PROJECT.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Personally I really struggled to get my program to work. But later on I found out why. The pins assigned on ATtiny have different numbers when you try to program with Arduino.
