Assignment 19
project development
Have you:
Answer the questions for complete your final project
WHAT IS DE DEADLINE? HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE LEFT?
My oral presentation is on Monday, June 19 at 10:00 a.m. I have two weeks left for the presentation
WHAT TASK HAVE BEEN COMPLETED, AND WHAT TASK REMAIN?
I have the design of the structure around 80% in Autodesk Inventor
I have the design the parts for print in 3D
I have a one Fabduino and a Bridge H
I still have to define how to link the application and how to program to detect the sensors at the same time something
HOW WILL I COMPLETE THE REMAINING TASKS IN TIME?
Until June 16 I have to have the design already cut and assembled ready to place the electronic part and the rest of the time focus the App and the electronic part
WHAT HAS WORK?
The design of the structure and the tolerances (Knerff) for the prefits.
WHAT HASNT?
The most important is test the communication between the motor, the Bluetooth, the Fabduino, the App and the sensors.
WHAT QUESTIONS STILL NEED TO BE RESOLVED?
In my case, the time that the engine must run so that it opens the door exactly and the time to wait for a vehicle to pass. The time between what the sensor detects and what executes the command.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED?
A lot, since sold the boards to programming a microcontroller in Arduino IDE. Other things are how sensors work.
OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPROVEMENT
To improve the project, I was thinking ideas to make it more interactive. One of them is to use some type of code in the car, for example an rfid tag, so that the door recognizes it immediately.
An RFID tag is a small device, which can be attached or incorporated into a product, which allows identification because it contains antennas that allow receiving and responding to requests by radio frequency. This RFID tag could go on the vehicle's plate for the door to detect easily.
Once detected a vehicle of the family, you could modify the application so that, for example, if a potato arrives, a notification to the family arrives: "PAPA has arrived" or some other message that makes the system more interesting. This is an example but could add the photo or give the possibility of personalizing this message:
Another improvement would be to add a siren type light to the alarm, which is activated every time the door is opened. This is a safety measure that is used as a precaution to prevent accidents and theft.
If there is any interested, any other suggestion is welcome.
