Assignment 17
APPLICATIONS AND IMPLICATIONS
Have you:
propose a final project that integrates the range of units covered, answeringTHE NEXT QUESTIONS
WHAT WILL I DO?
My idea is to make a parking system that can recognize when there is a vehicle in front of the door and get a notification to the person who is in the house, with a photo and this has the possibility to decide whether to enter or not.
The idea is that you can also program a series of images of the family and it can automatically recognize who is and notify the house.
WHOS DONE WHAT BEFOREHAND?
Many people may have made doors with sensors that detect proximity and open, but the added value and the interesting thing is to apply image recognition to a very important issue such as security.
WHAT MATERIALS AND COMPONENTS WILL BE REQUIRED?
For the Test:: only MDF 3 mm Boards
For the Prototype:
- 4 Ultrasound Sensors
- 2 End of Career
- 1 DC Motor with reduct box
- 1 Wifi Module or Bluethoot Module
- 1 Alarm
- 3d Filament
And Technologies are 3D Print, Laser Machine and Mini CNC Modela
WHERE WILL THEY COME FROM?
All the materials I have taken from what we will assign the Fab Lab
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Since this is a scale model of what one wants to do, prices are reduced; However in a full scale model the materials must have more strength, size and power. For this prototype the costs were as follows:
- Basic electronic components for the boards : Approximately 5 dollars
- Acrylic plastic board (4 mm thickness) : Approximately 14 dollars
- 32 Bolts, Whasers and Nuts (1/8 "x 2") : Approximately 8 dollars
- 1 Metter of Chain : Approximately 3 dollars
- 2 Hinges of 50 mm : Approximately 1 dollar
- 4 Ultrasound Sensor : Approximately 4 dollars
- 2 End of Carreer : Approximately 0.1 dollars
- 1 Power source 12V: Approximately 8 dollars
- 1 DC motor with gearbox : Approximately 4 dollars
- 1 Bluetooth Module or Wifi Module : 3 dollars or 6 dollars
- Wire : Approximately 2 dollars
- 1 Alarm : Approximately 2 dollars
TOTAL : 54.1 dollars aproximately
WHAT PARTS AND SYSTEMS WILL BE MADE?
All structure was fabricated in Fab Lab and All PCB was fabricated in the Fab Lab too.
WHAT PROCESS WILL BE USED?
1. Computer Design
2. Computer Controlled Cutting
3. Electronic Design and Production
4. Embedded Programming
5. Interfaces Creation
WHAT TASK NEED TO BE COMPLETED?
Find the appropriate tolerances to fit the national acrylic that is not uniform.
Find how to pull the door, some material that is flexible and resistant.
Prove that all my plates work
Milling a FabDuino but since I will be missing pins
WHAT QUESTIONS NEED TO BE ANSWERED?
How to do the application?
How to program so that you can detect two sensors at a time?
How to hide the electronic part so that it looks nice?
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
In Week 17 design the structure and realize test, In Week 18 cut the final prototype and assemble the parts, sensor, motors. Finally in the last Weeks program the electronic part.
HOW WILL BE IT EVALUATED?
As long as the application is recognized, the auto detected by the sensors and the application activates the motors. Once inside the car, the door must be closed.
